Development of volleyball skills

Theres some important points that any volleyball player needs to learn before get into the technical part of the sport and start competing in a real match. First you need to know about the basic positions on the court and your stance on the game, the clue it's a good balance of your body, you wide your feet, bent your knees this way you split your body weight and you can be able to do your moves easly, this is usually made when you receive the ball from a serve.

That takes us to the volleyball shuffling, this is the way you move your feet when you are chasing the ball on the air after a serve and defent, it's about make short steps on the court don't crossing your feet, that way you can move everywhere of the court having more balance at the time that you need to make a quick move if the ball changes trayectory and you are the closer person to play the ball. On an easy way to explain shuffling you got to be focus to move as fast as you can changing directions to play the ball.

Then when you learn the positions and the basic rules of the game you can start learning volleyball offensive and defensive drills to develop your skill just as blocking and spiking. Always the best way to explain the drills is for example, you can show to the players by doing it yourself or using another player, thats how the players know what is exactly what to do on the practice.

A success skill volleyball practice

When the players are in practice, a really good way who they get better their skills is to keep them focus on the drill, what they are doing and keep them thinking in what is the skill or hability that they are working for. On a practice the players need to know that they will repeat the drills over and over because thats the only form that they to learn the right way of do the exercises and use they skills on a real match.

At the end theres many drills and routines the players have to practice to get better any time they play, like the serve, spiking, blocking, passing the ball and serve it, no matter what you choose, the most important thing or the main idea it's to have your players aware on what they are learning and what is the goal of the drill, what is the point that it's been development.
